Here’s a wonderfully quirky and fully original 1985 Fender Stratocaster ST-567, built in Japan during what many players consider the golden age of MIJ Fender craftsmanship. This one features the factory-installed Kahler locking tremolo system, which opens the door for silky vibrato, deep dives, and rock-solid tuning stability — all straight from the mid-’80s playbook.
Overall, the guitar is in excellent playing condition, with all electronics, hardware, and tremolo components functioning exactly as they should. The neck is comfortable, fast, and classic MIJ quality.

When this Strat came to us, it had a weird, lumpy, uneven patch of nail polish on the finish (yes, really). It looked out of place, so we carefully leveled the area, wet-sanded, and buffed it smooth. The finish blends cleanly now — no texture, no bumps — and the guitar presents beautifully. It’s purely cosmetic history, not a structural issue.
If you’re after a unique ’80s Fender with character, originality, and a ton of MIJ vibe, this ST-567 is a fantastic score.
