Meet Tony! A 1978 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop, made in the USA during the Norlin era and absolutely dripping with vintage mojo.
This Goldtop has all the sustain and tonal depth you expect from a real-deal ‘70s Les Paul—1 piece mahogany body, maple top, and a comfortable three-piece maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Besides the wiring harness(CTS and Orange Drops), the guitar is all original, including the vintageGibson T-Top humbuckers, tuners, and hardware. No breaks, no mods, no funny business—just a straight-up, well-preserved classic.
It shows natural aging and honest player wear, with some light scratches on the back as pictured, that you'd expect from a 45+ year-old instrument. Frets have plenty of life, and the neck is straight and plays well all the way up. It also hilariously has the name "Tony" lightly in the clear coat as pictured. Looks like Tony had a sticker, and the clear coat aged and left the outline of the letters. There is no residue, and it is so subtle it's hard to notice unless pointed out. This one has that vintage tone: warm, articulate, and endlessly expressive.
Whether you're a collector or a player, this Goldtop is the real deal—and it’s only getting harder to find clean examples like this.
Ships in a original hardshell case.
